The old fart still rocks after all these years!
"About a year before the show, I bought these tickets when they went on sale. I wondered if the old fart would make it another year. Luckily, the show date arrived and we were there! Ozzy was still alive and kickin’, and he put on a great show! He always has the best band too! Loved seeing Zakk Wylde touring with him. They started off with Bark At The Moon and that was a killer opening! At times Ozzy sounded a little flat but hey, it’s Ozzy! He’s 105 years old! He’s forgiven! Zakk did literally a 20 minute guitar solo with the band playing in the background while Ozzy stepped off stage to take a break to bite the head off a Metamucil bottle. Zakk walked off stage, went out into the back of the complex and played in the crowd. Ozzy played most of his popular old songs, a couple new ones I didn’t know, and a couple Sabbath songs. Well worth it! Stone Sour, the opener, was average. I’ve always loved Stone Sour but I think they lost their excitement live when Jim Root left the band. Maybe I’m biased cause I’m a Jim Root fan, but they weren’t on the top of their game. Kinda boring I thought. All in all, it was a great show!"
